Siemenpuu’s mission is to support the work of civil society movements in the Global South advocating for sustainable lifestyles, environmental justice, and local communities’ rights.
The goal of the Siemenpuu Foundation’s development cooperation programme for 2026–2029 is to ensure that rural communities have greater equal opportunities to develop sustainable livelihoods.
Supported projects are identified through calls for project proposals. Siemenpuu does not accept applications outside the published application rounds.
Siemenpuu provides funds to projects planned and carried out by civil society actors in the South. Altogether, Siemenpuu has funded around 700 environmental projects. See the list of on-going projects.
