RE: Civil Society Organizations Call on Argentine Government to Rescind Disaccreditation, and Call on WTO Director General Roberto Azevêdo and the General Council Not to Hold the WTO Ministerial Meeting in Argentina Unless Decision is Reversed
Dear Director General Roberto Azevêdo, and WTO Members,
Siemenpuu Foundation and EKOenergy Climate Fund call for project proposals to establish renewable electricity installations aiming at alleviation of energy poverty and social inequality in Mali, Myanmar and Nepal. Initially, Siemenpuu and EKOenergy are looking for 3-5 projects to be financed in 2018. We are looking for projects in the range of 20.000 to 50.000 euros, lasting maximum for two years.
Karel Keiramo, Pia Korhonen, Uddhab Pyakurel and Marko Ulvila formed the Siemenpuu Foundation's delegation at the 6th International Degrowth Conference for Ecological Sustainability and Social Equity in Malmö, Sweden on 21-25 August 2018. Siemenpuu organised one session on systemic alternatives during the conference.
Thomas Wallgren and Uddhab Pyakurel attended the World Social Forum 2018 in Salvador (Bahia), Brazil, from 13-17 of March 2018. Below are extracts from their report.
[Satu Ranta-Tyrkkö and Ruby van der Wekken] After Nepal (see Ruby's previous blog), the journey with South Asian Dialogues on Ecological Democracy (SADED) continued on 15-20 November in India. Also in India, the need for Ecological Democracy and the approach of SADED is clear. Also in India the negative trends of climate destabilisation, loss of biological diversity and increasingly authoritarian regimes continue despite the widely shared desire to prevent environmental crisis and to live in democratic societies.
